A welcoming family is an in Catalonia deep-rooted family, that learn with immigrant people and is open to the world.

Who can participate in the project?

Any family who, voluntary and during three months, wishes accompany and cover the needing of information and intercultural dialogue of another immigrated or in process of regrouping family.

Which are the obligations of a welcoming family?

During the period of welcome, the immigrant family and the welcoming family will meet at least three times. The first meeting will take place in the nearest headquarters of the Net of Welcoming Families for Immigrants, the second one will be in the address of the welcoming family and the place of the third meeting will be decided between the two families.

Which kind of support do the welcoming families get?

-Basic guide of information on the most frequent services and procedures needed by the immigrant families.
-Service of direct attention of an intercultural mediator.
